Lowest documented PayPal bars
Qmee — no minimum on PayPal
Qmee’s FAQ (fetched 5 Nov 2026) states PayPal/Venmo cashouts have no minimum withdrawal amount and that PayPal transfers usually appear within a few minutes, subject to banking hours, holidays and systems outside Qmee’s control. PayPal must be verified, registered in the same country as your Qmee account, and not linked to another Qmee account. Save the Student’s table lists Qmee’s minimum as 1p via PayPal — consistent with “cash out any tiny balance” in practice.
Swagbucks — STS 1-point threshold
Save the Student lists Swagbucks’ minimum reward threshold as 1 point (1p) with PayPal or gift cards. Confirm the live PayPal denomination in your Rewards catalogue — gift cards and PayPal can show different available amounts even when the site-wide threshold is tiny. Survey Payout Watch’s typical PayPal window is 1–3 business days (occasionally longer).
Prolific — £6 combined, then fast PayPal
Prolific’s official cash-out help (updated 6 August 2026; fetched 5 Nov 2026): you can cash out when combined approved balances reach £6 / $6 across GBP and USD. Pending study approvals do not count (approval can take up to 22 days). After you cash out, payment arrives in PayPal within 24 hours, typically sooner. Frequency: generally once per 24 hours (midnight UTC), with a 72-hour cool-off after PayPal changes or until your fourth cash-out.
Freecash — read the USD cashout page carefully
Freecash Academy “What Are the Withdrawal Limits?” (updated 29 October 2026; fetched 5 Nov 2026): the first cashout needs $25 (may differ by region — the Cashout page shows exact amounts) plus ID verification. After that, PayPal is offered in set amounts from $5 to $200. Academy’s PayPal guide (updated 22 October 2026) adds a 5% withdrawal fee on PayPal, plus an extra $1 on the $5, $10 and $20 tiers; gift cards have no fee. Withdrawals go through Tremendous (redeem email) or legacy Tango.
Save the Student’s UK table still summarises Freecash as a £5 minimum with PayPal among the methods. Those two sources are not word-for-word the same (USD set amounts + first-cashout rule vs STS’s £5 line). For UK accounts, treat the in-app Cashout page as authoritative and expect fees on PayPal.
Mid and high thresholds
- AttaPoll — Save the Student: £3 via PayPal or gift cards. AttaPoll’s Terms say the Minimum Withdrawal Threshold varies by country and payment method and is displayed in the app (and may change). A discretionary below-threshold withdrawal may deduct a £3 processing fee per those T&Cs — check the live app rather than memorising a blog figure.
- Branded Surveys — STS: about 500 points (£3.80) to PayPal or gift cards.
- LifePoints — STS: 500 points (£5), PayPal or gift cards.
- Toluna — STS: £10 PayPal or gift cards. Survey Payout Watch notes gift cards can clear faster than PayPal’s longer official window.
- InboxPounds — STS: £15, PayPal or gift cards.
- OnePoll — STS: £20, cash or PayPal.
- YouGov — STS: £50 via cash / bank transfer, not listed as PayPal in that table. If you specifically need PayPal, check YouGov’s member Rewards page or pick another panel — do not assume PayPal from the STS cash line.
Practical PayPal cash-out checklist (UK)
- Use a verified PayPal account in your own name, ideally GBP as the primary currency.
- Match country rules (Qmee same-country PayPal; Prolific country/ID matching rules in its help article).
- Cash out when you hit the minimum — Save the Student’s own advice is that waiting for a huge balance rarely beats regular small withdrawals on legitimate panels.
- Screenshot the cash-out confirmation and watch spam for Tremendous / PayPal claim emails (Freecash).
- Remember pending survey approvals are not withdrawable balance (especially Prolific’s up-to-22-day approval window).
FAQ
Which UK survey site has the lowest PayPal minimum?
On published policy, Qmee (no minimum on PayPal per FAQ) and Swagbucks (STS 1p reward threshold) sit at the bottom. Prolific’s £6 floor is higher but PayPal after cash-out is documented within 24 hours.
Are Freecash PayPal withdrawals free?
No — Freecash Academy states a 5% PayPal fee, with an extra $1 on $5/$10/$20 cashouts (fetched 5 Nov 2026). Gift cards are listed with no fee.
Does YouGov pay PayPal?
Save the Student’s June 2026 table lists YouGov’s £50 threshold under cash / bank. We did not find a matching public PayPal minimum on an official YouGov help page in this pass — check the Rewards page inside your account.
Do PayPal survey earnings count for UK tax?
Possibly. See our £1,000 trading allowance guide (GOV.UK summary). Not tax advice.
